Ready For the MMA Rush?

June is looking like another one of those months when it is a good time to be a MMA fan. The MMA calendar will be chock full with 9 events in a little over two weeks, with all but one of those cards being on non-PPV outlets. A quick look at the MMA Weekly calendar gives a quick lay of the land:

– BELLATOR 21: JUNE 10 IN FLORIDA w Imada vs Curran
– UFC 115: JUNE 12 IN VANCOUVER
– STRIKEFORCE: JUNE 16 IN LOS ANGELES
– BELLATOR 22: JUNE 17 IN KANSAS CITY with Ben Askren (5-0) vs. Dan Hornbuckle (21-2)
– ULTIMATE FIGHTER 11 LIVE FINALE: JUNE 19 ON SPIKE TV
– WEC 49: JUNE 20 IN EDMONTON w Grispi vs Davis
– SENGOKU 13: JUNE 20 IN TOKYO w Kanehara vs Sandro
– BELLATOR 23: JUNE 24 IN KENTUCKY w Warren vs Freire
– STRIKEFORCE AND M-1: JUNE 26 IN SAN JOSE w Fedor vs Werdum

With that many shows coming up the MMA Blogoshpere won’t be lacking for fights to cover, only the will to cover them. While it would be great to have a spotlight for the innumerable great bouts coming up, the looming return of UFC Heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin as well as the return of Fedor Emilianenko and the attendant hype behind those two fighters may drown out some high quality action.
